the headline can be interpreted in too many ways and what an irrelevant observation in the end. If a country has developed ways to fend off the elements by hard lessons learned in centuries past, it's less likely abnormalities become disasters. New Orleans- scenarios happened -the last one in 1953- and lead to water management skills unique and wanted worldwide. Think Dubai Palm islands, getting any soil vertile yet dry enough by digging canals, living safe at -3 meters on what were lakes until 1900 sth. Its similar to other countries adapted to known climate feats, like Austrians and Swiss are invited everywhere for the specialisms ofdrilling roads throught mountains or stringing a bridge over a ravine.
So where's the disaster in a flood or storm if there's not going to be damage?

The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails. The number of Dutch moving abroad might create more problems for the country they move to. In the Uk we have plenty to deal with and dont need more immigrants either.

Running away from their new sources of food supply might be a good reason they are leaving in droves. YUK ! Next they'll be consuming dead humans.
'Dutch scientists have used stem cells to create strips of muscle tissue with the aim of producing the first lab-grown hamburger later this year. The aim of the research is to develop a more efficient way of producing meat than rearing animals.'

Miserable rainy weather and super cold winters. Go ahead.Move. They just raised taxes and reduced pensions recently too and are in a recession. Still want to risk it? Amsterdam is thinking of closing its Weed Cafes to tourists and they will soon be a thing of the past. Their red light district is still available for those adventurous travelers who want to risk their health sleeping with prostitutes from around the world. Open- mindedness also comes with risks. Have a nice trip.

As long as they don't come to the US - we have enough immigrants using the system to get everything for free. Don't need any more. Isn't the EU countries big enough for people looking for a better life. Germany, Sweden, are doing good. Move there instead.
