DFW International Airport Welcomes Return of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Service to Amsterdam

Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport today welcomed the seasonal KLM Royal Dutch Airlines nonstop service between DFW to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, linking two of the world’s great international airports and offering excellent connection options to passengers on each end of the route. KLM operates the route with Airbus A330-200 aircraft capable of seating up to 243 passengers (30 in World Business Class and 213 in Economy Class)

“It’s great to have KLM bring its outstanding service to Amsterdam back to DFW after a winter hiatus,” said Jeff Fegan, CEO of DFW International Airport. “Our primary mission here at DFW is to provide great air service for the citizens of Dallas and Fort Worth, and KLM, with its tremendous service and reputation certainly presents a great option for our travelers.”

“KLM is excited to be reintroducing its service to the Dallas-Forth Worth community,” said Patrick Roux, Senior Vice President Air France and KLM for the Americas. “Customers will once again be able to benefit from KLM’s legendary genuine and refreshing service supported by our state-of-the-art international hub in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport with convenient connections to Europe, Middle East & Africa.”

The non-stop flights, operating five times a week in collaboration with Delta, will depart DFW on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 3:45 pm and arrive in Amsterdam the next day at 08:00 am local time. The return flights will depart from Amsterdam on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 10:35 am, arriving in DFW at 1:50 pm local time.

The flights operate within the framework of the trans-Atlantic joint venture agreement signed in May 2009 between Air France, KLM and Delta and enlarged to Alitalia in July 2010. Under the terms of this agreement, the partners jointly operate and share the revenues and costs of their trans-Atlantic routes.

DFW Airport offers world-class facilities for visitors to Dallas/Fort Worth, having been ranked in the top five for customer service among large airports worldwide for the past five consecutive years in surveys of international passengers conducted globally by Airports Council International. The Airport was also recently ranked the top U.S. airport for High-Tech travelers by PCWorld magazine.
