Dutch Amber Alert

Dutch Amber Alert thumbnail

The Dutch police has a new tool for the search of missing children. With the Dutch Amber Alert the Dutch will receive an alert for missing children.

Like the American alarm system the police warns quickly when a boy or girl below eighteen years are abducted or have disappeared.

People can receive the amber alert by going to the Dutch website amberalertnederland.nl and choose how they want to receive the messages.

Amber Alerts are also available via email. Another possibility is an Amber Alert on MSN instant messenger or, for example Hyves. In addition, the alerts as SMS message, RSS news feed or flash message pop up. For the SMS messages, the police does not have a sponsor (yet). These messages cost the receiver 25 cents each.
