Dutch don’t save on holidays
With a recession looming many people are looking for new ways to save money. This however doesn’t seem to have effected the Dutch people this summers holiday expenditure.
Most Dutch people spend as much on holidays this year as last year, or even more. This is shown by a study commissioned by the National Institute for Budget Information (Nibud), whose results were published Today.
More then 40 percent of the interviewed Dutch people spend about as much on holidays as last year. Almost one quarter spends more, but less often on luxury holidays.
A third will spend less on holidays as a result of the recession.
