After a little clean up we were able to see a ship and an inscription "Half Moon", "Hudson-Fulton 1603" and Celebration 1909'. I do not think the metal is of any value other than as a commerative piece. My husband is of Dutch decent and he and his family are from Johnstown N.Y. and we are presuming that it belonged to one of his ancestors.
