Mother Always Told You To Finish Your Plate

Royal horeca the Netherlands (KHN) is happy to support the idea to let restaurant guests pay a fine of 10 euro cents, if they do not finish their plate. The money helps to a project in the African Sierra Leone.

We support all initiatives for the good cause. And even more if it happens on a voluntary basis. A fine is exaggerated, I would call it a social contribution, a spokesman of KHN said Wednesday.

The idea to fine customers comes from an organization from rotterdam.

With 10 euro cents someone can eat for a day in poor Sierra Leone. People who do not finish their plate and do not want to pay the fine, can refuse the extra contribution.
