Goodgame Studios Chooses Spil Games
Spil Games’ social-gaming platforms now feature Goodgame Fashion, the new social game by Goodgame Studios. With 130 million unique visitors to its sites every month, Spil Games is the largest social-gaming network worldwide—and Goodgame Studios is a rising star among the independent social-games developers.
Already live on Spil’s German site targeted to families (www.jetztspielen.de), the game features a real-time multiplayer mode, making Goodgame Fashion a next-generation social game. It’s also been localized for players in the UK, Italy, Poland, France, and the USA. More countries will follow as part of this global deal.
“We’re contacted by many developers and companies like Goodgame Studios who are interested in the fact that our social-gaming platforms are specialized strictly for gaming, and have a built-in community of gamers who want to interact with each other,” says Spil Games’ CEO Peter Driessen. “Our approach is to collaborate with each partner and ensure their game will get the attention it deserves. The integration of Goodgame Fashion is a perfect example, and we’re looking forward to publishing more games by Goodgame Studios in the future.”
Aside from its 130 million monthly players, Spil Games is also popular with developers for the diverse global audiences it serves. Spil’s social-gaming platforms are online in 19 languages, with tailored channels for girls (www.girlsgogames.dnl), teens (www.spel.nl), and families (www.spelletjes.nl)—a broad portfolio that makes it easy and scalable for developers to get their games to the right audiences in the right languages.
“Spil’s reach and their ability to market our social game to their audience of 130 million unique visitors around the globe was the key to our success. The simple API ensured we were immediately able to tap into Spil’s social graph and their audience“, says Dr. Kai Wawrzinek, co-founder and CEO of Goodgame Studios.
Goodgame Studios is growing quickly, and is currently looking for 150 new employees in Hamburg, Germany.
