Oil-change unnecessarily!

Former director of Castrol engine oil, now says that oil changing is not necessary at all. He already drove 350,000 kilometers himself on the same oil. Henk de Groot finds the complete oil-changing industry a big waste.

The big oil scandal: hundreds of millions of euros per year are wasted and an enormous amount of damage to the environment. Henk de Groot, old director of Castrol the Netherlands, is on a crusade against what he calls the ‘oil changing mafia’.

De groot states that automobilists, motor drivers and truckers are unnecessarily spending money, because they let the oil of their engines to be changed too frequently. Nobody wants to risk their cars warranty to be voided, because you did not change the oil according to rules of engineers and manufacturers.

Henk de Groot has invented a level stick with a chip which gives a signal when there is something wrong with the quality of engine oil. It’s a universal tool, which can be installed in nearly each car.

There are a total of six millions vehicles in the Netherlands of which oil is replaced once per year, an amount of wide 600 millions euros and at least thirty millions liters which have to be recycled. Worldwide it’s enormous: 200 billion euro is wasted.

Modern motor oils does not need to be changed as often as oils did years ago. More frequent oil changes won’t hurt your car, but you could be spending money unnecessarily and hurt the environment even more.
