Parking rates in Amsterdam among the highest in the world
Parking rates are holding firm despite the economic downturn, according to Colliers International, a property company.
European cities have some of the highest daily parking rates with Amsterdam among the top five most expensive parking spaces.
Amsterdam ranks fifth most expensive place in the world for one day car parking. According to research of Colliers International Parking Rate Survey that was released Tuesday. The car owner spend almost 40 euro a day on parking costs.
Oslo is the most expensive place in the world: more than 61 euros. Parking in Copenhagen costs about 50 euros, slightly more than Melbourne, Australia (48 euros).
The cheapest parking in the survey of the 156 cities studied is Jakarta. The daily rate is 63 cents.
