Prince plays surprise concert at Melkweg in Amsterdam

Prince surprised his Dutch fans with a surprise concert Sunday night at Melkweg in Amsterdam.

After the sold out concert Prince announced that he would play again on Monday night July 25th.

The entrance fee was one hundred euros and must be paid in cash at the entrance of the Melkweg.

3FM station coordinator Wilbert Mutsaers reported the arrival of Prince first on Twitter.

The Prince concert just has just been confirmed, reported Mutsaers. “Just got a call from an agent (by Mojo) to report this on 3FM.”

Around 22.00 there were hundred people in line of the Melkweg, several attendees reported on Twitter. The line reached far beyond the entrance. The sold-out concert started half hour later than announced.

he musician is known to occasionally throw surprise concerts. In recent years, Prince does what he enjoys. He mainly plays surprise concerts in large venues or just at his home or in a supermarket in his hometown of Minneapolis.

At North Sea Jazz there was a rumor that Prince would perform in Paradiso.

Prince gives a concert in Ahoy Rotterdam on Tuesday July 26th.
