The success behind the Dutch television show of John de Mol will soon be seen in the United States, announced the U.S. network NBC on Monday.

In The Voice of America young singing talent fighting will compete in front of the camera for a record deal. They will be supported by famous American artists to be prepared for a career in the music business.

The show will feature four celebrity artists, who will form teams of singers that they will coach and mentor throughout the competition. Individuals will be eliminated until each celebrity only has one team member left who will compete in the finals to be named “The Voice of America” in a live finale. To guarantee that the celebrities pick the best of the best, the series introduces a unique twist – the initial audition process is blind; coaches can only hear the singer but cannot see them.

Viewers will also have a say in determining the competition’s finalists, as they vie for the grand prize of a recording contract.

The new talent show “The Voice of America” is slated to premiere in Spring 2011. on U.S. television network NBC .

Doutzen Kroes became a Victoria’s Secret Angel last year after doing high-profile ads for Dolce & Gabbana and Versace.

Heidi Klum and her post-baby body led the parade at the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show, which returned to New York with some fresh faces after four years on the road.

Victoria Secret inducted five more women into its “Angel” ranks — a designation reserved for top models — in front of a packed house Thursday night at the Lexington Avenue Armory. They are Emanuela de Paula, Chanel Iman, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lindsay Ellingson and Candice Swanepoel.

But Klum was the audience favorite, she emerged from the huge, castlelike set to applause. Just five weeks after giving birth to her fourth child, the supermodel surprised the audience, walking the runway at the Victoria’s Secret lingerie fashion show Thursday night at the 69th Regiment Armory.

Musical guest The Black Eyed Peas kicked off the show with Boom Boom Pow as Ambrosio walked first in neon wings, with Miranda Kerr following in oversized space-like armored wings.

Victoria’s Secret always fuels hype about its models. An online model search started earlier this month and is now down to two contestants, one of whom will be chosen by the public to appear in the televised version of the fashion show that CBS will air Dec. 1.

Klum, who normally wears the most elaborate outfits, only appeared once, so it was former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl Marissa Miller who had the honor of wearing a $3 million, diamond-encrusted bra.

Nadya Suleman of California has officially signed a contract for filming a reality television series about her family.

Apparently it will be less “intrusive” than reality TV, whereby several events in the children’s lives would be filmed in a documentary series.

Nadya Suleman just gave birth to eight children in January and already has six at home. Her story became big because she conceived all of her fourteen children via in vitro fertilization, is unmarried, was unemployed, and not financially independent. She made headlines because her octuplets are the second set of living octuplets born in the United States. She stayed in the headlines because people could not understand or relate to the choices she made in continuing to try to have children and how her decisions would affect her children and the community.

The show will be modeled after a successful Eyeworks TV series in the Netherlands that documents the lives of four children from the day they were born until they become adults. The company hasn’t yet sold the show to any American television network.

Octo-mom will get to use a camera and do some of the filming herself according to The Associated Press.

The show has no name yet, but Suleman has sought to trademark her media nickname “Octomom” for a TV show and a line of diapers.
