The Netherlands had the lowest unemployment rate in the Eurozone last December, according to figures from Eurostat, the European statistics office.
4.3% of the Dutch workforce was unemployed in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands is followed by Luxembourg (4.9%) and Austria (5%). Of the 16 eurozone countries, Spain had the highest unemployment rate of 20.2% in December.
Figures from Estonia were not included because that country joined the eurozone on January 1.
In December, there were almost 15.8 million jobless people across Europe, 200.000 people more than in December 2009.
