The Netherlands now the warmest place in Europe

The coming days we can enjoy the beautiful weather. The sun is shining so strong that the Netherlands is currently the warmest place in Europe!

The Dutch enjoyed the warmest day of the year today, with forecasters predicting Mediterranean temperatures for the weekend.

The coming days we can still enjoy the beautiful weather while the weather forecasts for the long Easter weekend also look good. This week the temperature is expected to rise to 25 degrees.

Those heading to the beach to take advantage of the warm spell are advised to take sunscreen, with a bright and sunny day forecast.

Though most people are enjoying the fine weather the lack of rain has led to warnings that parts of the county are running out of water, with reservoirs and rivers hitting increasingly low levels. Almost no rain has fallen the whole month of March and also this month is very dry.

Bulbs Growers are spraying their fields and also the garden at home can use a splash of water.

The meteorologists forecast a maximum of 23 to 26 degrees with plenty Sun for Easter Sunday.

Easter Monday it will be 20 to 24 degrees, but still the beautiful weather.

Easter 2011 will probably go in the history books as the warmest Easter since 1901. Only in 1949 it was also two days warmer than 20 degrees.
